CBU WHITE OUTLINE DARK SHIRT

Cannons Baseball Academy, Baseball University, and 5 Star Miami joined forces in the creation of the powerhouse CBU. The brand behind CBU brings an established organization dedicated to preparing players for success at the high school level and beyond. Since the merger CBU has competed and won at the local, state, and national levels. All three of the organizations, for more than a decade, have helped countless players realize their dream of making their respective high school teams, and in the past 5 years alone, have had the privilege of watching over 40 of their alumni go on to sign NCAA scholarships or MLB professional contracts. If you are looking for an established program, with a proven track record of player development and student success, please consider trying out for one of our CBU teams.

CBU philosphy

Former LSU Head Baseball Coach and current Hall of Famer Skip Bertman developed a philosophy that there is more to the game than pitching, hitting and fielding. Here at CBU, we believe that we have to do everything we can to help each player improve not only as a player but as a person. We hold our student-athletes to a higher standard on being a better version of one's self on a day to day, week to week, month to month, and year to year basis.

"Hold the Rope" Mentality

CBU is a Baseball Organization designed to instill character, develop, expose and advance student-athletes careers. CBU has established a reputation for attracting the top coaches and players expecting to play with the best of the best at the highest level possible. In doing so CBU provides an advanced environment that assists student-athletes reach their maximum potential in their youth, high school, college, and professional baseball goals. At CBU each season has a slightly different purpose, but the CBU program is always centered around player development. All players will have a vigorous training program for the fall season, especially the summer. In the fall, we train more, and we play less. We believe that training is a vital part of a player's development and success. Games only confirm what was taught during workouts and practices.
